Downtown Oakland, civil defense litigation law firm seeks Northern California based paralegal for full-time position. Primary job responsibilities include:
- Subpoenaing
- Reviewing and summarizing medical records
- Identifying, contacting, and retaining experts
- Analysis and preparation of evidence for dispositive motions and trials
- Assisting with discovery
Prior experience as a paralegal is preferred, but relevant work experience will also be considered. Candidates must have proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and have excellent organizational and analytical skills. Strong interpersonal skills will be necessary for communications with clients, experts, and other professionals. Candidates with legal research and/or writing experience will be given additional consideration.
Firm priorities include providing the highest quality legal representation to its clients in a collaborative manner while maintaining a work-life balance for its attorneys and staff. This includes offering a hybrid work schedule, with a combination of remote work and in-office, following an initial training and orientation period. The firm also offers full benefits, including medical dental and vision insurance, and a 401(k) plan with employer contribution.
Salary range is $80,000 - $105,000 depending on experience.
